Work in progress...and lots of eye candy!

I wanted to show you a painting I'm working on...I tweek a lot as I go, with proportions, etc., so what doesn't quite look right now, will come together later.
I also wanted to show you some pictures I took at a store I love going to in Portland.

It's called Cargo.
When you go, your have to spend some time because there is so much to look at.

Lamps created from old slides...so cool.

Everywhere you turn, there's beauty...

color...

inspiration...

a feast for the eyes.

You always feel like you didn't even see

a fraction of what was there.

Even the front door is a work of art.

I'll leave you with that...'till next time.

I love the painting you're working on. It has a warm feeling to it.

I would spend hours in the store, and come home broke. Oh my, the ideas there must be endless.

wow, I love the new work in progress! Can't wait to see the finished product...good idea to post photos as you continue to tweak and add to the painting so we can see the stages- I need to start doing that...I've been lazy! Love the photos of the shop Cargo, wish it was near me!(tho it's probably best its not...I'd be too tempted to spend all my $$$!) Great work, and loving your blog...keep it up Auntie Lori, you inspire me! love you

wouldn't it be fun to make an artists play date in or near your locale. Everyone would meet somewhere and then go on a shopping spree together at places like this one you've shared with us? I wish i knew more artists in my town!

lori said...

Yes, that would be so fun, Kristen!
Shariyah, I'd love to see works in progress from you! You are so creative with the techniques you use, it would be great to see it all. Put it on your "to do" list!

Lori;
Your painting is stunning. It reminds me some of Michaelangelo style. I love it!
